Sony D230X ‘Eagle’ passes through the FCC; single-SIM and dual-SIM versions planned

Sony D230X Eagle_2We had already seen the unannounced Sony D2303 model appear in benchmarks, but now the whole family has been outed by the FCC. The filings show that the Sony D230X will come with the Eagle codename, the Xperia E1’s codename is Falcon, notice the theme here? There will be both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions of the Sony D230X Eagle.

The dual-SIM model (Eagle DS) will have model number D2302 globally and S50h in China. These models will be HSPA+ only. There will be a number of variants of the single-SIM version (Eagle DS). The HSPA+ only model is D2305 for Europe and Asia. There is also a LTE version for the same regions with model number D2303. Finally there will also be LTE models for North America (D2306 and D2316). One of these could even make an appearance on T-Mobile in the United States. We’ll bring you more news on these models as soon as we have them.
