Sony certifies new firmware (17.1.A.1.2) for upcoming Xperia Z2, Z2 Tablet devices

Xperia Z2_D6503_17.1.A.1.2Looks like Sony Mobile is putting the finishing touches to firmware for its forthcoming flagship Xperia Z2 (D6502, D6503) smartphone and Xperia Z2 Tablet (SGP521, SGP541). The PTCRB website shows a new firmware build (17.1.A.1.2) has been certified for both devices, which looks to be a reasonably big update over the previous certified version (17.1.A.0.504) judging by the build number. There may yet be further updates that Sony is working on before release, so we can’t wait to see the final version that hits retail.
