We recently reported that a new firmware build (9.2.A.1.199) looked like it was rolling to Xperia TX (LT29i) owners. Well it now seems that the update is indeed formally rolling out from today as Sony Mobile’s product pages for the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V have all been updated to confirm this new firmware build.
The changelog says that the update brings an enhanced user experience, improved battery life and software performance improvements, so we imagine it is mostly a big bug-fixing update which we have already seen on the Xperia Z series. Checking the Xperia Update Checker, the update appears to now be live for all three handsets across select regions/carriers.
