Sony STM10 Mic Hands on_3The STM10 Stereo Microphone accessory highlights Sony’s willingness and desire to push its flagship devices with some really interesting add-on hardware. The STM10 is a high sensitivity stereo condenser microphone with a 90° tilt function so that you can point the mic to the main sound source.

You can find a number of in the wild pics of the STM10 accessory below. We have also included a couple of videos recorded in 4K resolution and paired with the STM10 mic. As the software is still in beta phase you’ll notice the volume is very low – so you’ll need to crank it up to hear anything. This should be sorted by the time the STM10 releases.

You will also see screenshots of an app, it is not clear to us whether this is an official app that will be used with the STM10 mic. The app can record in four audio qualities the highest being lossless 44kHz 16bit WAV.
