The Sony D5103 model number is one we have come across before, mainly via benchmark leaks. Now it has passed through the Indonesian Postel website – the country’s telecoms regulator. Once a handset appears on Postel, it’s release isn’t normally too far away.
Following earlier benchmark leaks, the Sony D5103 is expected to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8X26 chipset (1.4GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 305 graphics), have a 5.2-inch (720 x 1280) display with a 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 8GB storage and 1GB RAM.
In every sense, the D5103 looks like a larger Xperia M2 to us. The Xperia M2 has a 4.8-inch qHD display, but runs the same chipset, RAM, rear camera and storage. So the Sony D5103 appears to offer a larger display and front-facing camera over the Xperia M2. We’ll bring you more news as we have it.
Thanks Ahmad, Ben and difwwh!
