Sony’s AR Effect camera application has been updated to version number 3.0.27. The main new addition is downloadable themes, where Sony is adding to the number of AR effects it provides via the Google Play Store. We counted six new AR effects including Butterfly, Celebration, Comic, Funky Disco, Horror and Spider-man.
Native video recording is also now supported. Those of you on KitKat would have already had video support, but this now opens it up to users running handsets on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Other features introduced includes additional sound effects and more actions when touching AR objects. All in all, another great update from Sony – some of the new AR effects are a lot of fun.
