The PTCRB website recently certified the first Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware build in the form of version number 10.5.A.0.227 for the Sony Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z. Well a new build number has just been certified for the Xperia Z, ZL and Tablet Z in the form of 10.5.A.0.230.
As suggested in the small step-up in version number, this is likely to fix bugs found in the previous version. There is a strong chance that this is the update that could be pushed to these handsets later this month. We couldn’t find the latest certification for the Xperia ZR, but it can’t be far behind. We’ll let you know when the update is released.
