Sony Xperia SP owners are still waiting to hear official news on whether their handset will receive an official upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Over on the support pages, KitKat for the Xperia SP is still “Under investigation”.
While we wait for an answer on KitKat, it appears that Sony shortly will push a small bug-fixing update. Vodafone Spain forum representatives confirmed that Sony “has begun work on a new version of software”. We understand that the Android 4.3 update will move the build version from 12.1.A.1.201 to 12.1.A.1.203. We’ll keep you posted on any further news.
