Sony Mobile is set to launch a new Xperia tablet shortly, following a reveal on the Indonesian Postel site of model number “SGP621”. The Sony SGP621 numbering implies that the new tablet will have LTE compatibility. It follows on from the LTE version of the Xperia Z2 Tablet (SGP521) and Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321).
There have been rumours that Sony might be getting ready to launch a smaller tablet – say an 8-inch device, so this may be that device. Given the timing of its appearance on the Postel site, we are probably looking at an announcement for this device at IFA 2014 on 3 September.
