The Xperia Z3 (D66XX) will launch in early September, we have already seen a number of leaked pictures of the device including a list of specifications. The handset has now passed through the GFXBench benchmarking suite, confirming the hardware.
The previous rumoured spec-list included a 5.15-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset (2.4 GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 graphics), 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 20.7MP Exmor RS rear camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
The GFXBench listing confirms all of these specifications. The CPU speed is listed as 2.3GHz but final product will likely be using the MSM 8974-AC chipset with a clock speed of 2.4GHz.
It lists the display as 5.1-inches, but it does the same for the Xperia Z2 too.
We imagine that Sony will round up the 5.15-inch display size of the Xperia Z3 to 5.2-inches when it launches. We have already seen a size comparison between the Xperia Z2 and Z3 and the latter will be marginally narrower than the Z2 with a similar-sized display.
Thanks Ben!
