Aqua Camera Pro_resultBack in July 2013, we featured an app called “Aqua Z” which allowed Xperia Z owners to take pictures via phone’s the proximity sensor. Remember, the Xperia Z lacked a dedicated camera button and therefore proved tricky to take pictures underwater.

That app turned into a paid app on the Google Play Store called “Aqua Camera Pro” – the good news is that the dev recently got in touch to let us know this app is now free, for good.

The app has moved on since being made for the Xperia Z and is now a fully-featured camera app. As you would expect, Aqua Camera Pro supports all Xperia Z series smartphones. A recent update added scene modes and the ability to zoom with volume keys. Head over to the Google Play Store to give it a try.
