in Android, Xperia Z3 series

3beta Xperia Lollipop_ThumbSony has partnered with Three Sweden to offer select customers the chance to be the first in the world to test its upcoming Android 5.0 Lollipop software. Sony plans to upgrade all Xperia Z devices to Android Lollipop in early 2015, starting with the Xperia Z3 and Z2 series.

The “3beta” collaboration will allow a limited number of Three Sweden customers to run a Lollipop-enabled Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact as their daily driver, reporting their findings back to Sony through a dedicated app. You will be required to report any problems you encounter and flag areas of improvement.

If you want to give this a try, head to this site and fill in the form. You will also need to be able to get to Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmö to meet with Sony and Three Sweden representatives. The deadline for applications is 16 November 2014. Good luck!
