Earlier this month we reported that the Android Lollipop update had been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, well the Xperia T2 Ultra has now seen the same. Bluetooth SIG has certified the “Tianchi Update to L”, signifying the ‘L’ for Lollipop update for the Xperia T2 Ultra (codenamed Tianchi).
Sony has not made it clear whether it plans to update select 2014 non-Xperia Z series handsets to Lollipop, but these certifications are promising and shows that Sony is at least internally doing some testing. As soon as we have word one way or the other, we will let you know.
