Google will launch an update to Android Wear next month that will introduce new interactive watch faces and watch-to-watch communication reports Phandroid. This update will see Google officially support the single tap gesture that some developers already use in their watch faces via workarounds. This single tap gesture can be used to launch activities, bring aesthetic changes, inline expansion and more.
Another new feature for Android Wear will include watch-to-watch communication called ‘Together’. This will allow users to send each other messages, emoji’s, stickers and more. Phandroid admits that some of this information is “quite old”, so Google’s roadmap may have changed in the meantime. However, would you be excited to see these features appear on your Sony SmartWatch 3? Let us know in the comments below.
