UK retailer Clove has dropped the pricing of both the Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact devices ahead of their launch in early October 2015. The Xperia Z5 will now be available for £479.99 including VAT, whilst the Xperia Z5 Compact will be £399.00 (both prices exclude delivery). This is the cheapest place to buy across the UK – the official Sony Mobile Store has them priced at £549.00 and £429.00 respectively. (See below for the update)
The good news doesn’t stop there though. Clove will also be bundling an accessory with each purchase. If you buy the Xperia Z5, it will include the Sony BSP10 Bluetooth Speaker and if you buy the Xperia Z5 Compact it will throw in a pair of Sony SBH60 headphones. We don’t know whether these offers will be replicated by other stores, but it shouldn’t be too long before we find out. Good news all around if you are in the UK.
Update: Looks like pricing hasn’t changed after all. Clove has said that the previous prices were in error, the real prices are £549 for the Xperia Z5 and £429 for the Xperia Z5 Compact, in line with other retailers. The freebies are still included though.
