Sony Mobile is expected to announce three new Xperia smartphones at the IFA 2017 tradeshow at the end of August. While we have had a good look at the Xperia XZ1, there has been little on the Xperia XZ1 Compact, which is expected to be a true ‘compact’ flagship, unlike what we saw last year with the Xperia X Compact.
You can check out a number of renders below, including a 360-degree video, based on factory CAD information from @OnLeaks, who has a good track record of getting hold of this information. So, when looking at the images below, remember they represent an illustrative example of what to expect, based on the dimensions and other details provided by the CAD.
The design looks like a slightly thicker version of the Xperia XZ1 that we have already seen. According to the report, the Xperia XZ1 Compact will have a 4.6-inch display with dimensions of 129.5 x 64.5 x 9.4mm. We will bring you more news as we have it.
Thanks Moisés, Samuel and Yut!
