Sony is expected to announce new smartphones, including the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin later this month. These will be Sony’s latest flagship devices and therefore are expected to have a price to match.
If you were wondering what kind of price you will have to pay at retail, then according to Roland Quandt (who writes for WinFuture.de), the Xperia XZ1 will cost GBP 599 at launch, with the Xperia XZ1 Compact priced at GBP 499.
His tweet below also includes a purported press render of the Xperia XZ1, which is in line with the leaks seen previously. He also has listed a couple of Amazon links (not yet live) of the Black and Pink version of the Xperia XZ1.
Sony Xperia XZ1: 599 GBP. XZ1 Compact: 499 GBP

The more premium pricing of the Xperia XZ1 Compact highlights that it does look like we will get a proper compact Xperia flagship versus last year’s Xperia X Compact. What do you think of the pricing overall? Too expensive, or what you expected? Obviously, we need the full reveal to truly put the pricing into context.
Sony will announce three new Xperia phones at an IFA press conference at 13.00 (CEST) on 31 August 2017. A live stream of the event will be available on the official Sony Mobile Blog.
