in Rumours, Sony Tablet

Sony may be about to jump onto the foldable tablet bandwagon, judging by Twitter leaker Max J. (@Samsung_News_). Max has a good track record of leaking Samsung products, and he was also the first to claim that Sony will release a hexa-cam Xperia smartphone.

Many Xperia fans may wonder why Sony would want to jump so early into the foldable tablet market, when both Samsung and Huawei are obviously having troubles getting their respective Galaxy Fold and Mate X tablets to the market. Even more so considering that Sony continues to struggle making a dent with its smartphones.

Regardless, Max claims that Sony currently has a foldable tablet prototype using a nautilus ‘roll-up’ design with LG display, SM7250 chipset, 10x zoom camera and what seems like a low-capacity 3220mAh battery.

Max goes on to say that the retail models could launch as early as December 2019 or early 2020, with the retail models including the Snapdragon 855 chipset with Qualcomm X50 modem.

Would you like to see Sony launch a ‘rollable’ tablet? We’d love to hear your thoughts below.

Thanks Moisés and Silv.Pascal!
