As we edge closer to the Xperia 1 II release, Sony has released a new promo video which focuses on the phone’s audio prowess. The video shows the conversation between Kenichi Matsumoto, Sony Mobile Audio Engineer, and Mark Wilder, Senior Mastering Engineer at Battery Studios, part of Sony Music Entertainment.
The video confirms that Sony developed the Xperia 1 II speaker from scratch, which includes a more powerful amplifier than previous devices, making the sound field much bigger than its size. Sony also makes a point to show off the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the wired headphone performance with its strong stereo sound separation. Mark Wilder has worked on over 3,000 albums and believes Sony engineers have “achieved something special” in the Xperia 1 II. You can check out the video below.
