    Hi Folks,

New member here and an even newer owner of an Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633) so please bear with me

I bought this handset secondhand a few days ago and I love it - all except for the fact that the ringer volume is so low that I can't hear it and I keep missing calls!!

I cannot stress enough that EVERYTHING works brilliantly well. All the notifications for when an email arrives, for when I get an SMS message or Whatsapp message, Facebook message, in-call volume, speakerphone volume, Skype, playing music, watching Youtube videos and even the alarm clock - ALL of them are loud enough EXCEPT for the phone ringer volume (I've maximised the volume in 'Settings' and also used the volume key on the right of the handset as well).

I've been googling for hours and hours and my head is spinning with all the info but it seems that I'm not alone. From what I can gather, it seems that Sony INTENTIONALLY made it this way as a 'safety feature' so as not to damage someone's hearing. I think that's rubbish myself but hey, what do I know? Anyway, whether intentional or just faulty it doesn't matter, I need to hear my phone ringing and it doesn't seem like Sony are willing or capable of fixing this, so I'm looking for a custom ROM that will do the job.

The problem is, every one I find either leads to a '404 - page not found' or it's for a standard Z3, not the Z3 Dual. Can anyone PLEASE point me to a custom ROM that will work with the D6633 Z3 Dual in the English language (I'm in the UK)?

    Current Details of handset:
    • Xperia Z3 Dual D6633
    • Android Version 6.0.1
    • Build No. 23.5.A.1.291
    • Baseband Version 8974-AAAAANAZQ-00112-61
    • Kernel Version 3.4.0-perf-gc-14c2d
I don't care if I have to have an earlier version of Android, I just want a phone that rings LOUDLY when someone is calling me.

    TIA

Never mind, I've fixed it. I found a Lollipop ROM and flashed that and all is now working brilliantly! :D
