CyanogenMod 9.0 heading to the Xperia S soon

The FreeXperia team have just published a placeholder page for CyanogenMod 9.0 in the Xperia S forums at xda-developers. CM 9.0 is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich so it will suit those wanting a close-to-stock experience.

What isn’t clear right now is whether the developers have found a way around the bootloader bug that was affecting custom ROM development for the Xperia S. We also don’t know whether CM 9.0 is ready to flash on Xperia S devices. However, given that the page has been created with the Xperia S in the list of supported devices, it’s most likely a matter of when and not if.

Great news! It’s great to have options so soon!

I want Root without unlocking the bootloader.

I heard good stuff about CM with root, but will it more stable than official? I dont wanna cool mods and roots, i just want stable, good system without bugs, stucking, or any sort of these.

Personally I dont like custom roms. I always use Standard roms or if any a modified official rom.

    Xperia S rocks

  • If I unlock the boot loader, will I be able to lock it again?
