Sony Mobile is currently rolling out new Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread firmware (version number 6.0.B.3.184) for the Sony Xperia U. This firmware was certified two days ago on PTCRB along with the other Xperia handsets that use the NovaThor chipset (the Xperia go and Xperia sola). The Sony Xperia P has also had the same firmware certified today. We don’t know what the new update brings, so if you have tried it, let us know in the comments below.
Update: It looks like this firmware sorts out the network selection issues that a number of people have been suffering from. [Thanks Ambroos!]
