Silver Xperia SL snapped in the wild

in Rumours, Xperia S

Just a day after we saw some press pictures of the Sony Xperia SL, the silver version of the handset has now appeared in the wild. Pictures were sent to GSM Arena by an anonymous tipster which shows the handset in various angles sporting the new silver livery.

As we already know, the Sony Xperia SL (LT26ii) is identical to the Xperia S (LT26i) apart from a faster 1.7GHz dual-core processor compared to the 1.5GHz speeds of the Xperia S. As well as silver, the Sony Xperia SL is also expected to come in a pink version.

this silver is sexy, it is the new “white”. the new iPhone is expected to have this colour. sony was ahead of apple using the white and it is now ahead of apple again. I hope some ifan do say that apple was the first to produce silver coloured phones as they did with the white one

Sony already had silver Xperia Arc and now the Xperia P which is made of aluminium and is much more beautiful !

  • they should have gotten rid of the ports..and i dont know whether the back cover is removable or know -but i recon it is, since there seems to be no sim card slot- but they should have gotten rid of it as well..the only things i dont really like about my Xperia S..

  • rafi

I think the removable back cover just fine for me. I dont want all the fcc sticker, quality check sticker and etc stamp outside the xperia body like nokia lumia had. But i agree with the charger cap.

What a waste of time! What is the purpose of this handset? 200mhz speed bump. You will hardly feel the difference. They should have used the S4 with a 2000+ma battery and micro sd card slot. Then it would have been worth releasing! This is the reason lags behind Samsung etc. Sony are better off releasing about 5 handsets a year that are really top quality and at various price points. Its no good flooding the market with so many average handsets. Quality over quantity wins every time. Apple release 1handset a year!

  • Tomanlam

if it’s plastic it looks cheap especially in the last pic

    poor audio quality with bad
    processor …

  • goldenblls

Pink for the girls and this phone for the boys.  A great looking phone!

  • Arexxx

If they would lose those stupid dots, and go for an Xperia P like buttons, this phone would be perfect!

  • Xlash Andraid

If I start saving from now, I’ll have money for both =p But of course, I’d be weird to buy two phones, so I have to choose one.

This is again a repeat of 2011…They brought out Xperia arc at the start of the year, then produced a revamped version of it in the name of Xperia arc S. Start of 2012, Xperia S, now this Xperia SL shit. Really? REALLY!?

I will admit Sony rules in terms of design like no one else…but keeping upto date with hardware is also important. 2012, every manufacturer has or will be releasing a quad-core, but Sony’s like “Quadcore? What quadcore? We’ve never heard of that shit!”
