Sony prepping a tablet with Xperia NXT design?

A Swedish publication recently posted a story about Sony Mobile moving its headquarters from Lund in Sweden to Tokyo, Japan. We’ve already discussed this previously, but what piqued our interest was the picture attached to the story.

It appears to show what looks like a Sony Ericsson tablet carrying the Xperia NXT design as seen in the Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U. The transparent bar can clearly be seen running across the bottom of the slate. However, this is most likely a prototype tablet and there’s no evidence to suggest it will ever see the light of day. Would you like to see a tablet with such a design, or do you think it doesn’t suit such a large screen? Let us know in the comments below.

    The Tablet looks awesome. Yea. Awesome indeed. But no point of keeping the transparent bar, as it will indeed be waste of space. Or may be Sony can make the insides transparent, and make it glow as well? Awesome. :)

    Well the news today also tells that maybe half of the workforce have to go before the move. So maybe close to 1 500 people will loose there jobs. Because its not only the Hq that moves to Japan, the development as well might follow. By the way, was wrong with this comment system? Google, and facebook doesnt work anymore?

    I would like to see such tablet, but having used the tablet S for almost a year, Sony would somehow make the transparent bar keep flashing in the middle of the night and no way to turn it off!

    Following Sony’s nomenculture, next year flagship phone is gonna be named something like ‘Xperia L’ or Xperia Lalua :) I came to this conclusion after noticing their previous year phone following i.e. Xperia arc -> Xperia arc S -> Xperia S and now Xperia SL….this clearly tells next year sony phone is gonna be named from ‘L’. Who is up for Lalua??? :-P

    Hello, that concept on the picture looks stylish but xperia tablet must be durable, so it can not be with that control bar, because it is so easy to damage.
    When users of XPERIA S(for example) will get Android 4.1 they must be shocked from new UI design.

    I own xperia S, that’s lovely phone with great display and audio, I really love it except for the standby time change…if there is tablet with that design…wow..I would buy it for sure…I love that design.
