Xperia V (LT25c) headed to China Telecom with slightly modified design

in Xperia V

The Sony Xperia V will be heading to a number of markets around the world in its LTE variant (LT25i). However, a CDMA variant (LT25c) is also planned for China Telecom, as we originally reported earlier this month. We’ve included a few photos of the Xperia V (LT25c) below which shows that the design differs slightly from the international version.

First of all you’ll notice the China Telecom Tianyi logo on the back of the handset. The biggest change, however, is a line going around the bottom of the handset creating an almost two-tone effect. We’ve included images of both the LT25c and LT25i versions of the Xperia V below to compare. Which one do you prefer? Sony will be holding a press conference in Beijing tomorrow to introduce these new handsets to the Chinese market.

the line going around the bottom makes all the difference. I’d go for the Chinese version. It looks more classier just because of line. Just goes to show how a little design makes a big difference!

  • China version

  • Absolutely!

  • Absolutely!

I think I’m the first to prefer the international version, it’s got the metallic frame, which would look & feel more premium. The China one appears to be all plastic!

  • Griever

This is not a metal, but a chromed plastic in the international version, it was mentioned in the press-releases.

  • i think china version isnt waterproof, looks like you can take the battery cover out

  • u can take international v cover out too..

  • Transparent Line i see ? looks fancy! sold!!!

International version – metal or not, this frame makes me like Xperia V more than Xperia T. It look way much classier and solid with it.

@Xperia blog. Will this (Lt25i) be available in india ???@google-a27cffa778ddf51cec15dbf63b6dc2f3:disqus

  • woah i thought the xperia v will not be released internationally

  • Mark Walsh

*Sigh* confirmed no release to the uk which is the only handset packing enough features to make me want to give up my s which is a shame im underwhelmed by the T and will either wait a bit longer for the next generation or go for the note2 just really disappointed there’s no wow factor in anything headed to the uk… no wonder Samsung are shitting all over Sony the sales figures speak for themselves

  • goldenblls

I prefer the i version. Looks like I’ll have to import it to the UK.

  • XYZ

Its because there is a distinct lack of 4G LTE in the UK.
I’m pretty sure once Ofcom has finally sorted its shit out and there are actual LTE networks available, Sony will eventually bring the V out. Of course by then it could be 2013 and Sony would have a new LTE device to hand out.

    I still prefer it …….
And the slightly out design feel more special .

  • Agree

  • Mark Walsh

The device is compatible with 3g though so it will work on uk networks while we wait for 4g.

  • I don’t see the problem of this device being LTE COMPATIBLE: here in Italy Sony already confirmed that it’ll be available, but there is no LTE at all (experimental only). Pehaps this is because these devices are not branded and not bond to a specific carrier.

the china model has iconic identity with arc body. so this could be the NXT ARC SERIES? :)
