The Xperia SP lands in India in the middle of this month for INR 27,490 (£329, €386, $504). Both black and white colours will be available across Sony Centres and other leading retail stores. Sony says that customers will also get a free premium case worth INR 1,990.

Also nothing wrong with sony products, just the fact that android team from sony are bunch off incompetent idiots and slackers that underestimate everything……..

  • Carlo

    Sony sucks!
Can’t update the Xperia S and P, and now they want people to buy the SP . . .

  • rmn

add 8000 and buy xperia z

And if they overestimate knowing that it is going to take longer, you will still call them incompetent idiots and slackers anyway. They are screwed either way. Do you have any idea that software development is not a trivial business?

Nah i spoke to sony community manager they really do underestimate issues people have, other then that their team is way to small, they kindy full off them self thinking they doing fine.

I went to my local SONY store last saturday. They only had Xperia ZL (wich disappointed me, btw), Xperia Go, Tipo and… Nothing else! I asked one of the customer service guys why there were no Xperia T, Xperia S, Xperia P, Xperia J etc. He told me that T, S and P won’t be sold in the store anymore (WHAT THE HELL??) and J was out of stock. Also, they had no idea if Xperia SP and L were going to be here…

SONY should pay more attention of what kind of service they give to their customers around the world. Also, why deprecating Xperia 2012 line so fast? A friend of mine wanted to buy Xperia P that saturday and he was pissed off for not finding it.
So guys, I’m afraid that your Jelly Bean update for Xperia S and P will be so delayed. The sad thing is SONY now puts all the lights to the new line and forget about their past handsets… But hey, all the other companies do the same, but SONY should be different. Their products are already beautiful, now they need to change their policies and give a better service to their customers.

I don’t know about other countries, but here in Malaysia (Sabah, Kota Kinabalu specifically), I went to a Sony Center last week and they had all of the models from 2012-2013 with the exception of Xperia E because they say it was out of stock (Not the dual, they have it). And I kinda feel bad for underestimating because they know about the phones or upcoming Sony phones. They seems to know a lot and their shizz. Customer service was pretty decent so far, had to make a complaint about a missing Item of my purchase of Xperia Sola and they gladly replace the whole thing including the phone.

Now about Sony in general, I must admit the way Sony brings our the update is just as horrible as HTC if not worse. I was hoping Xperia Sola gets JB but not, Sony decided to ditch it out and focus on higher phones the likes of Xperia P, S, TX and etc but J and Go gets it? Get your stuff together Sony.

I’m currently a proud owner of the Xperia ZL (C5602) and it’s quite impressive. Here’s me hoping Sony would continue pushing updates.

    And what about Xperia L ? :

  • Edim

I Like the price. It`s time to change my Neo V))

  • sweetu

How much Xperia ZL cost you in Malaysia ?

  • Xperia

Get your shit right, Sony. INR 27,500 is way too much for this fella. You can get a Galaxy S III or HTC One x+ for that price.

  • Michael

Where’s billy jean for my ion?

RM1899 at Sony Stores. Cheaper than the Z and the GS3. You can find the ZL cheaper at local mobile phone stores but I prefer paying it more at Sony stores because of the warranty and free goodies.

Seems that Sony makes the prices high outside of Asia.

  • sweetu

Yeah I agree other regions are Slightly High Prices than Malaysia.

will you tell, actually whats the difference of warranty in local store & Sony store there ?

what free goodies they offer & do free stuff available now,if I bought ?
Malaysian online stores offer it at MYR-1688.

Not much for the Zl I assume, but the xperia S & P has more free goodies. As for the warranty, original phone can be fixed at any Sony service centre while Ap set warranty is only applicable to the store u bought it.
