Xperia Z Ultra 493 firmwareA new firmware build has been certified by the PTCRB website for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Firmware version 14.1.B.1.493 will follow on from the current build (14.1.B.0.471) that recently rolled out to HSPA+ handsets (model number C6802).

We don’t know what the new update will bring, but there is a possibility it will include ‘X-Reality for mobile’. Sony said that the X-Reality for mobile update is due to arrive in early September, so there is a strong possibility that this build may include it. We’ll bring you more news on the update as we have it.

I just received my Z Ultra. Its a beautiful device but as soon as i received a call i knew this cant be used as my primary phone. So i’m selling my Tablet Z and keeping this along with my XZ. Really wish it had infrared though. Its a shame.

SBH-52 is the one you should have.
Yeah the infrared is pretty useful, wish I hade the Acro HD instead of the Acro S.
I guess the only thing’s keeping me from buying ZR is the lack of 16-32GB internal, super old front cam, infrared and yeah I love the new dock connectors on ZU! What them but not that big ass phone x).
