Xperia TX_9.2.A.1.199_1A new firmware update for the Sony Xperia TX (LT29i) with build number 9.2.A.1.199 appears to be rolling according to a user on XDA. Strangely the user got a OTA notification, but checking the customisation number, no new update seems to be available. The OTA download is only 8.3MB, so either it was mistakenly pushed out by Sony or it only has minor changes.

Anyway, this new firmware build (9.2.A.1.199) was recently certified for the Xperia T and Xperia V, though the Xperia TX page has not been updated. We expect this new update to bring a number of bug-fixes from the previous Android 4.3 firmware (9.2.A.0.295), from which a number of users are having problems. We’ll keep you posted on the rollout for other handsets.

Sorry but what bugs? I’ve only come up against few problems. For example, when turning on the phone, pressing volume will restart the phone, but it doesn’t matter much.

Just apply the woody xperia theme on your phone and reset your phone, then you find which bugs he said!

  • francesco

lol mate, trust me i’m back on 4.1, with 4.3 i had a lot of random reboots it’s really unstable… ;)

  • Chew Loh Seng

Actually any non-Sony Xperia Themes other than tri-flat is risky already. Xperia SP also has this problem, that’s why I can say it. Very irritating indeed.

  • Nikola Maruni?

Whenever I update an app it renders it useless and I have to either uninstall the whole apps or update and then re-install. Back button sometimes doesn’t work. I have to press lock/unlock button 5 times to wake up the phone. There are more but can’t remember all of them right now!
