Xperia Z2 CalendarSony pushed a video earlier today highlighting some of the newest Email and Calendar features from the latest 2014 Xperia software. For the Calendar, this includes the new navigation drawer, Tasks integration, colour-coding events, countdown event indicator and the weather forecast.

On the Email side, there is reply from notifications, better thread handling, pull down to refresh, day binding, rich text editor and customising message preview. Much of this we have covered before, but it’s a well put together video showing the key new features. It’s worth a watch just to make sure you’re getting the most out of these key applications.

I have no Tasks menu on my Calendar on XZU! Please Sony update us first and then explain it, not the other way around.. :(

The email app drains my battery and data! On a single day it used over 70 MB of my monthly quota of 1.4 gb

Does anybody also have this problem with the Email app?
Able to receive email, but unable to reply/send.

The new calendar app is great. On my Tablet Z, I use Google’s own Calendar app over the Sony one, but on my Z1C, the new Sony Calendar app works a lot better than Google’s Calendar app. I like the weather integration as well as the Birthday/Holiday functions better. Email app is good if you’re not on GMail. Otherwise, the Gmail app is still better.
