Sony has confirmed that the SmartWatch 3 will launch at the end of this month. We recently saw the SmartWatch 3 listed on the Google Play Store in the US. In addition, Verizon Wireless has today commenced pre-orders for the SmartWatch 3 at $249.99. Pre-orders are also live in Europe through the Sony Mobile Store and third-party retailers such as Amazon’s UK and German sites.
The SmartWatch 3 sports some impressive specifications including 1.6-inch (320 x 320) transflective TFT LCD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core A7 processor, 512MB RAM, GPS, 4GB internal storage, IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and a 420mA battery which Sony says is good for “up to 2 days normal use”.
