Sketch Play Store_resultSony has made the Sketch application available on the Google Play Store. Previously, the app was either preloaded on Sony Xperia devices or it could be downloaded through Sony’s “Update Centre” app. This means Sketch is now available to a wider range of mobiles, outside of the Sony Xperia range. The update arrives in the form of build version 5.0.A.0.2, although we noticed no changes from the previously installed version.

I liked the new icon. Seems a bit flatter. Not Material yet, though.
EDIT: Wait, why? The icon on the Play Store is new. However, it does not reflect the icon on the phone…

Maybe they are going the Moto way, not much baked into the OS, mostly apps in Play store which makes the software update process simpler and faster. I hope.

Hopefully soo. Still a lot to go, though.

    My Reaction

  • The apps people don’t need is what they put on the store. Their z3 camera app is what I and many out there want, not sketch things. Sketchbook and Photoshop are best in those areas and this app from Sony is useless.

It’s one of the apps I never used on my z2 when I was on stock. Pure useless. Meanwhile it gets updates as if its the Dalvik of the phone
