AOSP_Xperia_Z3 PlusSony Mobile has announced that it is adding 64-bit devices to its AOSP project, which includes the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 Tablet (both LTE/Wi-Fi versions). The addition of Sony’s latest flagships to its Open Device project means that developers can build AOSP versions for these devices. Sony has also updated the software binaries for AOSP Lollipop (Android 5.1), all details of which can be found in the source link below.

Sony confirmed that whilst the 64-bit Xperia M4 Aqua has also been added to Sony’s GitHub account, at the moment it is not possible to unlock the device. Hopefully that will change in the coming weeks.

I doubt it.. The change in the build number is not that big.. Definitely bigger from the previous update we got (.24 to .31) but who knows right..

Yea it is sony….. I’m still on (.27) got a generic UK handset. What’s the difference on the (.31)update. I have looked about but haven’t seen any official changelog.

I see.. Not much has changed on the surface.. Stagefright exploit has been patched.. Not sure if the phone heats up less or not.. Probably a little less but that’s just my take on it, could be a placebo effect for all I know..

yup, its 5.1.1 & may be it will fix heat issue in z3+ & stagefright issue.

Stagefright issue has already been fixed in the (.31) firmware update.. Do you have any source stating it is 5.1.1? Hoping for it but also a bit skeptical at the same time..

I’m the same on o2 with 5.0.2 and .27. Have we to wait for o2 to clear .31 and the above? And if so, how long do they usually take to do so? I’m fed up with having a buggy phone.
