  • Brian De Guzman

Nice set of default wallpapers in a while from Sony, not their failure of an attempt, boring material design inspired wallpapers of the past.

  • Arch9

Wallpaper from Z5, Z3+, and Z3 is not even material design

  • Sergio

I think he confused Flat Style with MD :D

  • TheSpaceUnicorn

    They aren’t even flat either.

  • raju

    Xperia home (launcher) from x

  • Sergio

Keep calm, there’s no full system dump yet, plus, the software in the MWC devices looked to me still unfinished, so use the Marshmallow Concept Launcher in the meantime…

  • mugglearchitect

They look similar to the one in PlayStation

  • Jacen23

Aren’t first and last two the same? :)

  • KzX
  • Naresh Gundu

If you are downloading it from your mobile then use Firefox instead of chrome.

  • Alvin

    It’s official, guys.

  • Alvin

Older wallpapers are great too, and current neq wallpaper is even better.

But sony never use material design for their wallpaper.

  • nick

Sad that Z series is officially dead

  • John Caddell Sparky

I thought they’re going to stop releasing 2 flag ship per year! Could be like X for mid-range to super mid-range with 5″ screen and Z for super flagship with 4K 5.5″ screen or whatever. this dumb move from Sony need to stop :(

  • Chaturanaga Manchanayake

I know right. Very sad. But it’s okay. It’s time for us to move on as well. Wished they’d release X performance like in late March early April but it won’t ever happen.

  • mawhob22222

    No

Z6 is coming. April or September

  • Eduardo Otero

That’s not true, first I had to see that comment, even if that was real, it is just a comment on Facebook, we have learned that things on social networks aren’t real at all.

  • jokensy

If the X series is replacing the Z series, then my Z5 Premium will be my last Sony phone.

  • AZNHA

    material design wallpapers are boring
many manufactures try to make good and beautiful wallpapers without using that crappy material design concept
for me, material design for wallpapers is not great
you got high-spec phone with powerful GPU and beautiful screen (AMOLED or IPS) but only apply simple material design wallpaper, it’s kinda some sort of waste of having powerful hardware (screen especially)

  • Ashroft

    Still rocking with z2 :)

  • Prateek Bhanushali

I wondered if X series was premium Midrangers, then Z6 would be like something above that to diferentiate it from X. It would have been a game changer for Sony if it had been that way. Like Imagine cutting edge techs for the ultimate flagship like Curved RGBW Camera sensors, OLED or NeoIPS whiteMagic Displays, Hovering Touch(Like was in Xperia Sola), Dedicated Audio Chips……. Now these aren’t “Dream Come True” Specs, Sony already has these Technologies.
After the Confirmation I doubt X is the Flagship here, as I was amused by X becoz it seemed a midranger with awsome specs, but at the Flagship status, it is nothing but an ordinary Flagship !!!

  • SONY only

looks like note 3 & 4 wallpapers hhhhh

  • shhh

It’s a blur right now. Other Sony social media accounts say the X would replace the Z, some say it’s not.

In fact i think that Sony is reducing the old family schemes in order to get just one or two families just like motorola (E, G and X, from low range to high end range)

XA: mid range but not so entry level (like Xperia M family)
X: mid-range to high range but not so flagship (like Xperia C or T family)
X Performance: new flagship on the block, high end (the succesor of the Z family)

Yeah I couldn’t believe it. Especially if the one who answered it is “Sony Mobile Germany”. Sure, who could believe that lie.

Shhh is right, you know? You should read, too: http://www.androidauthority.com/sony-xperia-x-replacing-xperia-z-676070/ For now, we can’t be sure, whether there’ll be a Z6 or not, but I really do hope, because the X series doesn’t impress me in the slightest.

  • Eduardo Otero

I’m still trying to find that comment…

  • mawhob22222

But my message is from Xperia GB and Xperia news

  • Flythe

And that makes them less clueless than Sony’s German PR staff? I don’t think so. They’ve been wrong in the past, too. For now, the Z’s future remains uncertain.

  • sebastianer

I don’t care about Xperia X, where is MM for Z5? I wan’t a working Auto Brightness, and if possible better picture quality/definition. 23MP is useless at the moment. And the Camera is terrible in mid light (indoor) photos.

It is the most abandoned line of Sony.

  • Geese Howard

They look like sperm stains in color. No seriously guys I mean it.

  • could_you_doge

    except sony’s looks way better

  • iia3ezu

Maybe some guy from Sony Mobile Communications provided the raw samples for the wallpaper artist. :D

  • iia3ezu

You better care about the Xperia X, because it is likely that the Z5 would be the last ‘Z’ Xperia phone.

At least this is better that coming up with Xperia T/E/C/M/Z… what an utter mess.

Maybe there’s room for one more top-of-the-line flagship phablet in Q3 2016: 5.5 or 5.7 inch device, maybe with a stylus, something to take the limelight off Samsung Galaxy Note 6 and perhaps also make good use of that Sony Sketch app.

    Said the Sony fanboy.

    P.S: Both look terrible.

  • Harut Hajin

There is no information about Z6 name.In August Sony will announce new TV and new cameras, In September-October may be new smartphone, but not Z6. 100% GUARANTEED INFORMATION from Sony Marketing centre.

  • Kathan Gandhi

Thank you & pls Add Xperia X theme as soon as possible For our Sony Z series

  • iia3ezu

There might be a Compact and/or 5.5/5.7 inch phablet later this year, could be new members of the Xperia X family, or a continuation of the Xperia Z family.

However, it is quite certain that Xperia X has killed off the Xperia M/C/E family.

  • could_you_doge

They kinda flattened out the wallpaper from old one when they upgraded to Lollipop, it’s like a half baked caught in between material-ish-but-not-really design wallpaper. At least that is how that felt like to me. :)

  • Geese Howard

Not just one guy, but probably a few :p
