Small update hits the Xperia XZ and X Performance (39.2.A.0.374)

by XB on 2nd January 2017

in Firmware, Xperia X series

Sony Mobile has released another small firmware update for the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance. This is now the second minor update since Nougat first hit these devices. The new update moves the build number from 39.2.A.0.361 to version 39.2.A.0.374.

There does not seem to be any big changes in this latest version, the previous version included the latest Google security patches, so we imagine there are minor bug fixes and/or performance enhancements in this new build. We have included FTF firmware files for each variant below.

DOWNLOAD FTF Firmware Files – Build number 39.2.A.0.374 (Android 7.0 Nougat)

NOTE: You will need to update Flashtool to version 0.9.23.0 to flash Android Nougat Xperia firmware files. Further detail is here.

Xperia X Performance (F8131) 39.2.A.0.374 Central Europe 1 Generic
Xperia X Performance Dual (F8132) 39.2.A.0.374 France Generic

Xperia XZ (F8331) 39.2.A.0.374 Australia Generic
Xperia XZ Dual (F8332) 39.2.A.0.374 Russia Generic

Thanks omar3tman and sebaa!

Not being pedantic, but you may want to edit the following: there are minor BIG fixes and/or performance enhancements. Shouldn’t that read as bug fixes?

  • Actman

SONY please aware that there is no update still here (SG/MY) for me yet. No OTA, not even through Xperia Companion for Xperia X Compact. Sadly it still stuck on 6.0.1. It sucks for some reason. So SONY when are we expecting to receive the Nougat?

Meanwhile we are still waiting for the Z5 Series for Nougat. It looks like SONY started to relinquish the Z5 Series which was just a year old. Yeah although 32.2.A.5.11 was released like a month ago but bear that in mind that this firmware doesn’t really change anything. Icons, UI or even the Home Version itself. Personally I don’t really count that as an actual firmware support

  • Tobias

Not only Sony. Your operator need to push the update and approve it.

  • theskig

Anybody using Nougat with Android Wear?

  • So0o

Bug fixes yes. Nothing new… Only the security patch december… The phone is the same..

From what I experienced, if you’re from .327 then on .374 the phone is slightly smoother and the battery (on standby mode) is better. Or else I see nothing change :p

  • Mac

    yes XZ with sw3

Can you stop spamming this? Xperia Blog is not official from Sony.

  • Actman

Just as usual Bashar, I’m freaking contented with this. I actually had a fan! Get a life mate, you know some people actually create their own storms; then get upset when it rains.

  • Actman

Good to let you know that we are using sim free and unlocked devices. Are you satisfied buddy?

  • Tobias

yeah, but your operator still need to approve it to work for their network.

  • XperiaBlog

Thanks for the spot – corrected! :)

  • CerberusSco

Most welcome. I’m also glad that someone else understood what my comment actually meant lol.

  • theskig

Thanks, I was looking for somebody with a Watch with voice option ’cause I have a terrible bug on Z5.

  • Actman

There are 8 Telco operators based on my country. Don’t tell me all of ’em voiced in a same tone.

  • Actman

Just like you does cu*t. Mind to show me how did I actually “RAPED” em?

“I told you why. They need teh moneh. It sucks but that’s the thing now” did you just got raped?

  • Bashar Shehab

You obviously don’t know the meme, so you better not start flaming now, I jist asked you to stop spamming, jesus…
