Sony Mobile has released a new Xperia Theme called “Support Nepal”. The region suffered an earthquake back in April which saw close to 9,000 people killed and 23,000 injured, it was the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since 1934. Sony has created this new theme to highlight the beauty of this Himalayan nation and encourage users to donate to the appeal through Oxfam Sweden. The theme features Brian Sokol’s photographs of Nepal that were taken before the earthquakes struck. Brian Sokol has been covering the earthquakes for over 20 years in Nepal, where he lives and works. The United Nations recently confirmed that 8.1 million people are still in need of humanitarian support while another 1.9 million require food assistance in Nepal.
