Now this is a strange turn of events. We don’t think we’ve ever seen a branded firmware release before the generic firmware, but that is what’s happened in the UK. O2 UK users are reporting that the Android 2.3.3 firmware update has started to roll out to handsets, whilst the generic UK update is still absent. Only a few regions have so far seen the update, including Hong Kong. However, we would expect the vast majority of other regions to get the update from next week.
