Today it is the turn of the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY to receive the Android 2.3.4 firmware update, following on from the Xperia neo yesterday. As with the Xperia neo, the firmware is updated to build number 4.0.1.A.0.283.
It only appears in select firmware regions at the moment (Nordics/Global) as we couldn’t pick up any updates from our UK devices. The v2.3.4 update brings video Google Chat, a new 3D panorama camera feature, a swipe text input system, screen capture and further enhancements to Facebook inside Xperia. See some screenshots below.
