Good news for Sony Xperia Tablet S owners. Sony has just confirmed that the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware update will be rolling out from 18 April i.e. tomorrow. The update is for those in the US, Canada and Latin America, It is expected to roll out between 09.00 and 10.00 Pacific Standard Time.
Sony originally said the update was due in late April, so it’s nice to see the company slightly ahead of schedule. As well as updating the Android version, the update is also expected to fix the issues surrounding memory management which led to random restarts.
