Xperia Z2 Ultra to be announced with the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet? [Update]

Twitter account @gadgetleaks leaked a number of images of the alleged Xperia Z2 Tablet recently and interestingly a new tweet suggests that the “Xperia Z2 Ultra” could be on the way soon. The tweet says: “Expect an Xperia Z2 Ultra and Xperia Z2 alongside Xperia Tablet Z2.”

What it doesn’t clarify is whether we should be expecting to see all three products at the same time, perhaps at MWC next week? Or it could be pointing to the fact that we will see the Xperia Z2 Ultra at some point down the road, to sit alongside the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet family. We would gladly look forward to another iteration of the Xperia Z Ultra, as it’s a fabulous device, albeit probably a niche device for the mass market.

Update: @gadgetleaks has followed up with some tweets saying that the information is from a draft document and that he cannot “100% vouch for Z2 Ultra”.

Update 2: @gadgetleaks has now deleted the above tweets and says he is “pretty sure” it exists but is not sure on the release date. So where we have ended up is that the Xperia Z2 Ultra may or may not be a real thing. Clear as mud.
