Bell Canada managed to get exclusivity of the Xperia Z2 in Canada, when it launches next month. Perhaps to take into account of this, Bell has discontinued the Xperia Z1. A leaked screenshot supposedly shows an inventory screen for the Xperia Z1, which shows the handset will no longer be available from 9 April 2014.
The Xperia Z1 went on sale on Bell Canada on 15 October 2013, so the six month window does appear quite short for the Xperia Z1 to get ‘End of Life’ status. We don’t expect other Canadian retailers to make the Xperia Z1 EoL too, so there’s no need to fret just yet if you were keeping an eye on the Z1.
