Etisalat is the largest carrier in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and up until now has not offered Sony’s recent Xperia smartphones. Both the Xperia Z and Xperia Z1 were sold through DU (the second service provider in UAE). Well it looks like Etisalat didn’t want to miss out on the action when it comes to the Xperia Z2, as they are currently have the handset on sale.
The handset can be picked up for no cost if you sign up to Etisalat’s new Postpaid smartphone plan. On an 18-month contract, you can get 300 flexi-minutes and a 10GB monthly data package for AED 400 (£65, €80, $109) per month with no upfront charge for the Xperia Z2. If you want it on a 12-month contract, you will need to pay AED 500 upfront for the handset and AED 250 per month. The handset is available now through all Etisalat outlets and authorised dealers.
