The “Live on YouTube – by Xperia” camera application has seen an update to build number 01.00.13, which brings support to two new handsets: the Xperia Z1 and Xperia ZL2. Up until now the app only officially supported the Xperia Z2. It will only work on handsets updated to Android 4.4 KitKat.
Other changes include improved performance and minor bug fixes. The Live on YouTube camera app allows users to broadcast up to 15 minutes of live video via YouTube. You can use the app to share video publicly to the world or privately with friends & family in the app’s private mode.
Update: Sony has updated the changelog to reveal the Xperia Z1 Compact is also supported.
