Xperia X Performance also heading to NTT docomo and SoftBank in Japan

Following on from yesterday’s news that the Sony Xperia X Performance is due to land on au by KDDI, two other major Japanese carriers have now announced similar plans. The Xperia X Performance (SO-04H) is heading to NTT docomo and the Xperia X Performance (502SO) will hit SoftBank in the middle of June 2016.

The SoftBank version will be very similar to the global Xperia X Performance variant in terms of design, however as is per usual for phones on the NTT docomo network, their version will carry the docomo logo. Therefore, it looks like there are no plans to carry the Xperia X or Xperia XA in Japan, with the main focus on pushing the Xperia X Performance.
