A week ago today, Sony Mobile unveiled the Xperia E5 across all of its social media channels, only to retract all mention of the handset hours later. Well, it looks like everyone is on the same page today, as Sony has officially announced the Xperia E5 (F3311, F3313).
The Xperia E5 has a 5-inch 720p display with 294 PPI pixel density and a screen-to-phone ratio of 69.36%. On the camera side, it has a 13 MP rear sensor and 5MP front sensor. The handset is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 chipset with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It also has 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (10GB usable) and a micro SD memory card slot. Other features include a 2700mAh battery life for “two-day battery life”, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE Cat4.
The Xperia E5 has dimensions of 144 x 69 x 8.2 mm and weighs 147 grams. The handset will arrive in Graphite Black and White colours across select European, Latin American and Middle East & African markets from late June 2016. Sony Netherlands has confirmed that the handset will cost €199 in Europe.
