Sony Mobile’s Concept team has released a new firmware update (38.3.1.A.0.91) for the Xperia X experimental track. The highlight feature of this latest update is a new audio engine, which combines SONY Audio Effects Engine and Google’s integrated MusicFX audio functions. This means that that MusicFX will now use Sony’s audio engine, rather than the proprietary Android audio effects.

A helpful change in this latest update is that the battery percentage indicator in the status bar has now been moved outside of the icon, this means it is much easier to tell how much battery life you have left. Other additions include VoLTE in Telenor Norway, Hutch (3) Danmark/Sweden, as well as VoWifi support in Germany (Vodafone, O2 and Telekom).

A few bugs have been fixed including the Bluetooth restart problem, along with a graphical bug for camera app shortcuts. If you want to try the Xperia X Concept then head over to this link.
