in Rumours, Xperia 10 series

There is a chance that Sony will introduce new phones at the MWC tradeshow in Barcelona called the ‘Xperia 10’ and ‘Xperia 10 Plus’, judging by self-proclaimed twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal, but also backed up by Roland Quandt too, who recently leaked a number of the official renders. These devices will replace what were previously known as the Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Plus.

Roland Quandt says that the new names have been confirmed to him by sources in the trade, and he has also seen Sony accessory packaging that also refers to the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. The Xperia X10 is expected to have a 6-inch 21:9 display with FHD+ resolution. It is believed to use the Snapdragon 630 chipset, with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Camera specs are believed to include a 13MP and 5MP dual rear camera. Battery life may be as small as 2870mAh, which would be disappointingly small.

Rumoured specs for the Xperia 10 Plus include a 6.5-inch display with 21:9 ratio and FHD+ resolution. The Xperia 10 Plus is expected to have a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. This model is believed to include a 12MP and 10MP dual rear camera. No other details are reported at this stage.

What is your view on the new names? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
