I do experience hot phone when charging, but not as hot as that you can't handle. Do take note that the charger isn't the normal charger, but is a high-speed charger where it pumps few hundred additional mAh in. So it's quite normal for the phone to get hot during charging.

Thanks for your reply . What i mean is that when i do some work on the phone with the charger connected the temperature rise to 45 degree C and the battery stop charging ,but when it was on 6.0.A.3.62 there was no problem i don't know is that a bug or what ???

I don't think the firmware could have done any difference, but it's normal that when you are using the phone while charging, the phone is hot as well as the charging is slow.

    Basically 6.0.A.3.73 firmware extends battery's life ;)!
In the previous version the battery was already dead in 8 hours with normal use, now with the new update it lasts at least 15 to 16 hours. :)
As far for the heating issue it is indeed annoying and its worst here in Greece due to the hot weather(we already have 30 degrees celcius and its May, imagine July)!

Yep, true! Besides that I heard it also fixed some GPS issue (I never had it).

0.73 advisability is depends on the region. Most of the regions has it, but again some do not have it yet.
I didn't experience any GPS issue, but some experience issue like after 20 mins it stops working. But I guess it's fixed in .73 version.

If you are eligible to upgrade, you will get a prompt from PC Companion. Just follow the instructions.

The update is nothing to do with ICS, this is an update to the firmware of the phone AFAIK. This update seems to solve the problems with battery usage and GPS.
ICS, when it is finally released will be an update the operating system software of the phone. Let's hope that Sony do indeed hit the end of May/Start of June as promised.
