Tablets are very different from smartphones. "Xperia Forum" considers the phones themselves so individually variable that it's desirable to have a separate area for each and every phone series. But folks who are only interested in Sony's tablets have no obvious place to post questions and info about them, as demonstrated by many posts in "General Discussions", "Article Discussions", and "Xperia Z and ZL", the last of little help to Xperia S Tablet users. This unorganized use of unhelpful categories will surely grow if Sony appends some new characters ("Ultra"? "ZR"?) to its new tablets. The sole current posting in "Feedback" (from last year) is a plaintive query for such a tablet forum, with no reply but a disappointed departure from the same new user, now lost. Another new user came here looking for a tablet stylus, got no reply, and seems to have given up. There appear to be at least 167 people here (besides myself) who consider the Xperia Z Tablet their "favourite Sony Xperia of 2013", so there certainly seems to be interest in tablets. Could the folks who run this thing called "Xperia Forum" (using subtitles stating "... Sony Mobile's Xperia range of smartphones") add a forum specifically for tablet discussions? As a Toshiba Thrive tablet user looking to switch to Sony Xperia Z tablet (and pushing for a 32+GB LTE version), I'd certainly like to participate. Thank you for your attention.
jeffq - We do apologise for the poor response on this. We have opened a new forum as you're right Sony's tablet devices have no natural home via the existing boards. Many thanks for the feedback.
Wow, that was fast! Thank you very much! I hope this makes it much easier for everyone who's interested in Sony tablets to raise awareness and understanding of these underappreciated devices. (I'm going to start by bugging T-Mobile USA about approving Xperia Z tablets for their new "Free Data for Life" plan for tablets, not to mention recommending them when customers ask about tablets.)
The Xperia Tablet Z really is a fantastic tablet, probably one of the best 10-inch tablets we've used. We know an upgrade is probably on its way in the next few months, but Sony will have its work cut out to improve it apart from the usual chipset/RAM and perhaps camera upgrades. The form factor is fantastic and it's great to know that it's water resistant too!
Definately need a Xperia Z Tablet forum or post whatever is easier, have one myself decided on the tablet and a Z1 after kicking apple to the kerb
