We expect at least two new Sony Xperia handsets to be announced at MWC in Barcelona on Sunday, the Sony Xperia U (ST25i ‘Kumquat’) and Xperia P (LT22i ‘Nypon’). We’ve seen leaked images of both before, but now we have some high definition pictures of the smaller 3.5-inch Xperia U including some comparison pictures against the larger 4.3-inch Xperia S. Our first immediate observation is that it’s good to see the Xperia U will have a removable battery rather than sealed battery of the Xperia S. Apart from that you can see that the Iconic Identity design has been carried over from the Xperia S – expect the Xperia P (LT22i ‘Nypon’) to look very similar too.
