I come from a Z3 Compact and are very disappointed with the battery life. 2 days ? but if barely arrival until 15 pm using it as before and with the same apps. I do not understand how a phone so publicized and expensive might have a bad time. I know very well the Z3 Compacct and arrived safely in the evening but this new Z5 is really a bad purchase !!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that the problem is the firmware...seem no go to deep sleep or new snapdragon wrok very bad.

Had the same problem when I acquired my Z5. After repairing the firmware a few times I discovered that it was a shortcut app that I was using that was draining the battery. Since then I do not have a battery drain issue when using stamina mode. It does get quite hot sometimes though.

I have an X5 Premium and the battery life is rubbish. Previously owned a Z2, and my daily phone usage is like clockwork (the same everyday), i tether to my worklaptop and use throughout most the working day, and i play one 1 game (Wordhero) while i take a crap for 15minutes in the morning. Where my Z2 would easily last a whole day and sometimes i'd go half way through a second day without a charge, i find my Z5Premium barely lasts me until 8-9pm, and it ALWAYS needs a charge by the end of the day.

My Z2 on 10% would still last 3-4 hours WITHOUT stamina mode if i just offed the screen, my z5 would barely last 30 minutes in the same scenario.

Bittrerly dissapointed with many things about the Z5.

Try resetting your device - which will erase all apps from your device. Then slowly install an app at a time to observe its impact on battery. I have found that my Z5 is much more sensitive than my previous Z3 Compact. Avoid the apps that drain battery. Does not seem to like certain apps from a battery point of view. Android 6 also helps. Not ideal but observing the device cautiously will help you manage it better.
